A number of media companies claim that coronavirus has affected at least 10 Amazon warehouses. Both Amazon delivery drivers and those who had to deal with the increased amount of orders due to the continuance of panic buying tested positive for the ongoing virus.
The list of all known locations of infected warehouses is listed below.
New York City — Staten Island and Queens, Jacksonville, Fla., Oklahoma City, Brownstown, Mich., Katy, Tex., Wallingford, Conn, Moreno Valley, Calif., Joliet, Ill. and Shepherdsville, Ky.
Amazon reports that some facilities are closed in order to get them cleaned. All employees who are quarantined or diagnosed with COVID-19 will have about two weeks of pay in addition to unlimited unpaid leave through the end of March.
Amazon has also established a $25M fund for those workers who have financial difficulties and are diagnosed with coronavirus or in quarantine. These employees are qualified to apply for a grant.
