Indiana State Police received phone calls about a semi-truck driving carelessly down Interstate 65. Reports started flooding in around 7 a.m. on February 14th, 2020 as witnesses reported the semi was all over the road, stopping on the interstate and then continuing on. Trooper Jonathan Cain quickly reacted and was able to find the truck and pull it over.

As the driver, 56-year old James Robert Whitlock, was interviewed by Trooper Cain, suspected drugs were found in the truck. Upon further examination, the Trooper found the female co-driver, 29-year old Alicia Ann Gaylor, in the sleeper berth and unresponsive. Officers attempted to wake her, and tried to administer Narcan, at which time she woke up.

During a search of the truck, officials found liquor, cannabis, different meth pipes and Methamphetamine.

Whitlock was accused of Operating While Intoxicated, OWI, controlled substance, ownership of a handgun with an earlier crime conviction, Possession of Meth and Marijuana. Gaylor was accused of Possession of Meth and Possession of Paraphernalia.
